I have a duty of care to your animal, and I am able to advise on total care, including behavioural and exercise regimes. I will look at all aspects of your dog’s routine, which will also include feeding, exercise and sleeping regimes. Unless the animal is in extreme suffering, at no point however, will I force my opinion on you. I will advise and I am happy to do so.
In all reality, your dog is going to be different after a Bowen treatment.
It is difficult to judge how they are going to feel, but you can make their recovery far more effective by following some simple rules for the 24 hrs immediately after a treatment:
- Leave them well alone. Some dogs will slink off and go to sleep. Some dogs will be a bit grumpy and some will just be calm. Even the smallest physical adjustment can have a major effect on a dog, so they need to be left alone to process. 24 hours is usually enough and they will tell you when they are ‘back’!
- Access to fresh water – they will drink more
- They might be totally zonked out – let them be!
